The Great Smoky Mountains Triathlon Club donates money to worthy causes each year from the races it puts on. This year we are giving all the money from this race to 3 local area high school students going on foreign mission trips. This money will be used to help pay for the the flight and their stay in the foreign country they are going to. So if you want to join us in the 10k, 5k or just come to the race site and walk 2 miles to help earn money for this cause, we invite you to come.

This years event will take place on the Dr.Enloe family farm, just 5 miles west of Franklin, NC. This site has been used for the past 5 years to host the NC High School Cross Country meets. Last fall was the first time I attended a race there andI fell in love with the site. It's a combination of open space trail and some wooded trails, all groomed for running. Any runners who like to get off the pavement and out in the fresh mountain air will really love doing this race.
.

Franklin NC,(located on map with the tack) just 2 hours from Atlanta, 2.5 fromChattanooga&Knoxville & 1 hour from Asheville. It's always cooler here in the mountains, and with an 8am start, the race will be over before the days heat gets bad. Go to the front page and get driving directions by clicking on maps to Races to get driving directions to Franklin from all over the Southeast. (Franklin is located on the map below with a yellow dot on the map.) This is a race you'll enjoy and remember for a long time, and if your like everyone else that has come to the mountains to participate in our races, you'll come back and bring some friends.
